Firstly, in our group, we have looked at which genre in which we are planning to do, this is shown from making it as a thriller/drama. Our idea is to make a drama on the media uprising of the Steve Wright murders in Ipswich. It is not going to be a documentary but more of a film representation of it.
We are going to be filming snapshots of gloomy, eerie areas of Norwich to bring a sense of vunrerbility to the production and to the vunrerbility of the victims of these countless crimes. In our group, we are still looking at the way in which way of showing it, for example, we are still deciding on just getting photograhs of the snapshots or filming them but w
ith slight movement. These photographs will be taken in gloomy, dull, maybe even during night time to show more of the representation of a dark place for it to be filmed. As we want to keep on a close representation on the Steve Wright murders, we are keeping away from famliar places in Norwich which we could use for the snapshots. The reason for this is becuase the actual murders were convicted in the town of Ipswich so we want to keep the familar places to a minimum.
Another piece of filming which we are putting into our 2 minute production is a small representation of how the victims of Steve Wright, and actually to all woman who sell themselves for money and to the extremes in which they do for money and the problems in which they get involved in. The way in which we are going to do that is that we will be filming a young lady's legs with high heels running down a dark alley or woods in a state of fear. Also the sense of panic into what it was like to be in that problem and the audience can feel and see what kind of panic they went through.
Finally, as this is only the first two minutes of opening credits, we are doing a sense of that the Steve Wright murders actually happened and to do that we are going to showing snapshots of 5/6 seconds of a brief piece of the news and the uproar of it. This will happen for maybe a bit between some of the snapshots to being the fact of how serious this became during the Suffolk murders. we are doing the sence of doing a few clips from the news and use a few transitions of zooming in/out slowing and fading in and out onto the next piece of news.
